About Kora.Blr
Kora.Blr is a specialty coffee café brand from The Bangalore Coffee Company, with cafés in Koramangala, Basavanagudi and Jayanagar, and HSR Layout opening soon. Kora comes from the Esperanto word kora, meaning “heartfelt”: good coffee, honest food and a team our guests mention by name.
About the role
Cafeista is our name for a barista. As a Junior Cafeista you make our classic coffees, look after guests at the counter and learn the whole café from our senior team. It's an entry-level role with on-the-job training, so you don't need barista experience to start.
What you'll do
- Prepare espresso drinks to Kora recipes: espresso, cortado, cappuccino, latte, flat white, mocha and Spanish latte, hot and iced
- Make cold brews, iced teas, frappés, shakes and smoothies to standard
- Take orders, suggest drinks and food, and handle billing on the POS
- Open and close the coffee bar: calibrate the grinder, stock milk and syrups, and clean the machine and work area
- Keep the bar clean and food-safe, following FSSAI hygiene standards, FIFO and labelling
- Learn latte art, manual brews (V60, Paragon), matcha and our signature drinks as you progress
- Support the floor team during rush hours and events
What you bring
- A love for coffee and people. No barista experience needed: we'll train you
- Warm, clear communication in English
- Comfortable standing through long shifts and working evenings and weekends on a rotational roster
- Willingness to learn and take feedback
