Kora.Blr is a specialty coffee café brand from The Bangalore Coffee Company, with cafés in Koramangala, Basavanagudi and Jayanagar, and HSR Layout opening soon. Kora comes from the Esperanto word kora, meaning “heartfelt”: good coffee, honest food and a team our guests mention by name.

About the role

Cafeista is our name for a barista. As a Cafeista you make the full Kora coffee menu on your own, look after guests at the counter and help train new joiners.

What you'll do

• Prepare the full espresso menu to Kora recipes, hot and iced, with consistent milk texture and latte art
• Brew manual coffees (V60, Paragon) and prepare matcha, cold brews, iced teas, frappés, shakes and smoothies
• Check the espresso recipe at opening and through the day, and tell the Senior Cafeista when it drifts
• Take orders, suggest drinks and food, and handle billing on the POS
• Open and close the coffee bar: stock milk and syrups, and clean the machine, grinders and work area
• Keep the bar clean and food-safe, following FSSAI hygiene standards, FIFO and labelling
• Help train junior cafeistas on recipes and the bar routine
• Support the floor team during rush hours and events

What you bring

• 1–2 years as a barista, ideally in a specialty café
• Good espresso extraction, milk texturing and latte art
• Warm, clear communication in English
• Comfortable working rotational shifts, including evenings and weekends

Nice to have

• Experience with manual brew methods
• Kannada or Hindi
