About the role
As Bakery and Pastry Commis you help bake our breads, pastries, cakes and desserts, and learn every part of a busy café bakery from our Pastry Chef. Freshers are welcome.
What you'll do
- Weigh and prepare ingredients accurately for each recipe
- Mix, shape, prove and bake breads, pastries, cakes and cookies under guidance
- Help prepare creams, fillings, glazes and dessert garnishes
- Decorate, portion and display bakes to Kora standards
- Label, date and store products correctly, following FIFO
- Keep your station, tools, ovens and mixers clean
- Follow HACCP and FSSAI hygiene standards
What you bring
- A diploma in bakery, pastry or hotel management, or hands-on bakery experience. Freshers are welcome
- Careful, precise work and a willingness to learn
- Comfortable with early starts and standing through long shifts
Nice to have
- Experience with eggless baking
